Before & After

Shelby and her mother were not happy with the result they were getting with braces and wanted a 2nd opinion. Shelby’s upper right lateral incisor was congenitally much smaller than her upper left lateral incisor. Her gum tissue varied in contour and was not proportioned properly among her six anterior teeth.

Dr. Scott took over the braces to create space around the small lateral incisor to equal the width of the larger lateral incisor. This also created a more stable posterior occlusion with ideal anterior guidance. Dr. Scott then performed clinical crown lengthening (surgical tissue correction) around her front six teeth to better proportion the gum tissue. Her smile enhancement was complete with veneers bonded on both lateral incisors which blended naturally with the rest of her anterior teeth.
