Before & After

Are your top front teeth shorter than your bottom front teeth? Are your top front teeth shorter than they are wide? Are your front teeth heavily worn and chipping? None of these situations are normal … top front teeth are suppose to be longer than the bottom front teeth, top front teeth are suppose to be longer than they are wide, and top front teeth are not suppose to be worn and chipping.

Brenda was in her early 30’s and had all of the above. Dr. Scott diagnosed her excess anterior wear on posterior incline interferences interrupting her natural closure path. She would require an occlusal equilibration to eliminate the posterior interferences and have her anterior guidance restored. Restoring her anterior guidance would in effect restore her heavily worn anterior teeth back to their proper length.

Dr. Scott eliminated the interferences causing her lower jaw to slide forward putting excessive force on her anterior teeth.

He then bonded Empress porcelain veneers on her lower canines giving back their length an contour. Six Empress crowns were then bonded to restore the length and contours to her upper front teeth. Once again photography played a key role in getting a perfect shade match to her adjacent teeth. Her smile now represents her age and beauty.
