Dr. Scott has been following this patient since she was born … literally! Here are a few photos following Whitney’s dental progress … her first 18 years. Dr. Scott has provided all of her dental care which included dental sealants on all of her back teeth. She learned the importance of great homecare early on and has never experienced dental decay. Her dad even documented Whitney losing her first teeth.

Dr. Scott straightened her teeth and opened a deep bite situation with braces. Care was taken to finish her Class I occlusion with anterior guidance in centric relation (fancy dental terms which mean “ideally”). When she was 17 he surgically extracted her four impacted wisdom teeth.

Whitney’s most recent procedure was to cosmetically enhance her smile. The procedure is one that Dr. Scott performs often for his patients and it can have a dramatic effect on one’s appearance. This crown “lengthening” procedure results in ideal crown length to width ratios to correctly proportion the front teeth displayed when smiling. The end result transforms the “short” teeth, gummy smile into an ideally proportioned smile which Whitney now readily displays. |

Whitney’s teeth had a “mottled” appearance with a lot of white characterization. The mottled appearance was lessened, after using a take home bleaching system, and the end result was a radiant smile. Whitney loves her dentist and is very appreciative of her dad’s perfectionist attitude. Here is what Dr. Wehrkamp's trusted colleague, Dr. Tony Soileau, had to say after he saw the photos of Whitney's smile rejuvination: Scott, These are awesome!!!! I love them.
